With Probe It, you register in 30 seconds, finish the course in about one hour, take the final test, and download your printable certificate the same day. The cost is $12.95. Can I get my WHMIS certificate online in Winnipeg?
Yes. WHMIS 2015 certification can be done fully online in Winnipeg. Probe It is 100 percent online. You can complete it on a phone, tablet, or laptop. You take the final test on the same device and download your certificate as soon as you pass. No classroom visit is required.
Is WHMIS training free in Manitoba?
Some providers offer free WHMIS training but charge a fee for the certificate or wallet card. Probe It lets Winnipeg workers try the course for free and only pay the $12.95 once they pass and want the printable certificate. No credit card is needed to start. Some Manitoba employment programs also offer free WHMIS for eligible job seekers.
How long is a WHMIS certificate good for in Manitoba?
In Manitoba, most employers require WHMIS training to be reviewed every year. Retraining is also required when the workplace changes, when new hazardous products arrive, or when workers move to a new role. The Workplace Safety and Health Regulation does not set a single fixed expiry date. Check with your Winnipeg employer for the exact retraining schedule.
How often is WHMIS training required in Manitoba?
Manitoba employers must give WHMIS training before a worker handles a hazardous product. Refresher training is required when the work changes, when new hazardous products arrive, or when the worker's knowledge needs updating. Most Winnipeg workplaces run a yearly WHMIS refresher to stay aligned with Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health expectations under the Workplace Safety and Health Regulation, Part 35.
Is online WHMIS training legit?
Yes. Online WHMIS training is fully recognized in Manitoba when the course meets the content and assessment requirements of the Workplace Safety and Health Regulation and the federal Hazardous Products Regulations. The Probe It WHMIS course covers all required topics, ends with a knowledge test, and produces a dated certificate. Winnipeg employers and Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health officers accept the certificate.
Does Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health accept the Probe It WHMIS course in Winnipeg?
Yes. The Probe It WHMIS course is built to meet and exceed Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health standards under the Workplace Safety and Health Regulation, Part 35. The course covers WHMIS 2015 (GHS) and WHMIS 1988 legacy content. The certificate is accepted by Winnipeg employers across manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education, and trades.
How much does WHMIS training cost in Winnipeg?
Most Winnipeg WHMIS courses cost $25 to $90, with local providers like Safety Services Manitoba at $90 in-person. Probe It is $12.95, the lowest price in Canada. There is no subscription, no hidden fees, and no per-retake charge. Bulk discounts are available for teams of 10 or more, with a free admin dashboard to issue seats and track completion.
What does WHMIS 2015 cover that WHMIS 1988 did not?
WHMIS 2015 follows the global GHS standard. It uses pictograms instead of symbols, adds new hazard classes for things like aspiration toxicity, and uses standardized safety data sheet (SDS) formats. WHMIS 1988 used different symbols and a separate MSDS format. The Probe It course covers both 2015 and 1988, so Winnipeg workers are ready for any workplace, including older facilities still referencing legacy materials.
Can I take WHMIS training on my phone in Winnipeg?
Yes. The Probe It WHMIS course works on iPhone, Android, iPad, Chromebook, Mac, and PC. Your progress saves on every device, so you can start on Winnipeg Transit, continue on your break, and finish at home without losing your spot. You can take the final test on your phone too.
