What Canadian workers and safety professionals say about Probe It.
Built differently
Not a boring PDF dressed up as a course. A real learning experience, free to try.
Most $30 to $50 WHMIS courses make you pay upfront before you can see the course. With Probe It, you see everything first. Auto-advance. Click next. Hope you remember. Our course is built differently.
Articulate Storyline build
The same enterprise authoring tool used by Fortune 500 training departments. Industry standard, not budget shortcuts.
Interactive game every 3rd module
Drag-and-drop, scenario branching, hazard identification challenges. Workers who play through it remember it. Workers who click through it forget it.
Built-in knowledge checks
You get real-time feedback after every section. Not just one big test at the end. Workers know what they understand before the final exam.
Auto-save across devices
Start on your phone during a break, finish on your laptop at home. Your progress follows you. No lost work. No restarts.

Questions?
Free WHMIS Frequently Asked Questions
Is the WHMIS training really free with Probe It?
Yes. You can take the full WHMIS 2015 course, complete every lesson, and write the final exam without paying anything upfront. You only pay if you pass and want the printable, dated certificate you can show your employer. If you do not pass or do not want the certificate, you owe nothing. No credit card is required to start.
Is a free WHMIS course legit in Canada?
Yes, as long as it teaches the full WHMIS 2015 (GHS) system: hazard pictograms, supplier and workplace labels, and Safety Data Sheets. The Probe It free option is the complete 8-module course with the real final exam. You pay $12.95 only if you pass and want the printable certificate employers ask for, so there is no risk in trying it.
How long is WHMIS training good for?
A WHMIS certificate does not come with a fixed legal expiry date anywhere in Canada. Requirements vary by province, and some provinces set their own review rules in their health and safety regulations. What applies everywhere is trigger-based retraining: you need retraining when new hazardous products, revised safety data sheets, or new processes enter your workplace, or when a worker no longer knows the material. Keep your certificate on file and refresh it on your employer's schedule.
When do I have to pay?
You only pay after you pass the final test and decide you want the printable certificate. The $12.95 fee is for the certificate, not the training. Many people use the free training to learn or refresh their knowledge without ever paying. The choice is yours after you see your score.
What if I fail the test?
You can retake the test as many times as you need at no cost. Unlimited free retakes are part of every Probe It WHMIS course. You only pay once you pass and want the certificate. There is no penalty for failing and no extra fee for trying again.
Do I need a credit card to start the free training?
No. You can register and start the WHMIS course without entering a credit card, payment information, or anything financial. We only ask for payment if you pass the final test and want the printable certificate. Until then, the entire course is free to use on any device.
Is the certificate accepted by employers in Canada?
Yes. The Probe It WHMIS 2015 certificate is accepted by Canadian employers across all 13 provinces and territories. The course covers the full WHMIS 2015 (GHS) system used in Canadian workplaces, including labels, Safety Data Sheets, and hazard pictograms. The certificate is dated, printable, and includes your full name. Employers accept it the same way they accept any paid WHMIS course.
How much is the certificate after I pass?
The certificate costs $12.95 once after you pass the final exam. There is no subscription, no annual fee, no hidden charges. The certificate is yours to keep and print as many times as you want. This is the lowest price for a WHMIS certificate in Canada.
Can I retake the course free if I fail?
Yes. You can go back through any lesson and retake the final test as many times as you need. There is no limit. Your progress saves on every device. Many learners go through the full course twice before writing the exam, and there is no extra cost for either pass.
Is this the same course as the paid version?
Yes. The free version and the paid version are the exact same WHMIS 2015 (GHS) course, built on Articulate Storyline with the same 8 modules, the same final exam, and the same certificate after you pass. The only difference is when you pay. With this free option, you pay only after passing. With the standard option, you pay upfront.
Why offer free training at all?
We know not everyone wants to pay before they know if a course works for them. The free option lets workers try the course, see the quality, and only pay if they pass. It removes the risk for the worker and helps us reach more Canadians who need WHMIS training. Most learners who pass do choose to pay for the certificate because their employer needs it.
How do I get my certificate after I pay?
Once you pass the final exam and complete the small payment, your certificate is generated immediately. You can download it as a PDF, print it for your employer, and save the wallet card version. The certificate is dated and includes your full name. You can also log back in any time to download it again.
